After some deliberation I decided on the ssa sub. I can't wait to get it installed and listen to it. I'll post a pic of it when it comes in.

It feels like waiting for Christmas to round the corner :/. I keep checking for the shipping status and it's still being manufactured. Patience for quality is what I keep telling myself.

A little off topic from this, but I wanted to know more about the kinetic enclosures. Is Kinetic a SSA brand? Are the boxes designed around SSA subs or just general volume and tuning designs for most subs? I wonder because I have a prefabbed sealed enclosure from a local place that is 1.1cf and I want to get rid of it.

Do you mean khaotic enclosures? They are a part of SSA, I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure Andrew from Argent Audio has access to a CNC machine and gets everything cut to spec and built for them.

The thing that makes them aimed towards a specific driver is the volume, tuning is setup for daily (~33hz). So if you have another driver that needs xx amount of volume and a khaotic enclosure is close to that volume requirement then your good

I tried to be easy on it. The one time I turned it up it pooped. I got it from robotunderground earlier this year on eBay. I "heard" he he swapped some components out of them and they weren't original brahmas. But I'll chalk it up to user error.

I'm just excited to get back into ssa and I'm glad to see a hot product line. Ever since RE sold to us amps I've been looking for a new sub. The Fi btl 15" I used to own I had to sell a while ago. Wish I didn't!
