8x Fi ssd 12" and a dd M4a

Recommended Posts

Yo, guys.

Tell me something, i have a dd m4a amp and i'll be soon working on a 8x12" project. I was thinking of the fi ssd 12" subs, would they do with that amp in a portet enclosure with about 1.4cubs per sub( yes they will be in the same box, no chambers between them) tunned to about 38hz and wired to .5ohm on the amp(8subs with dual 2ohm coils).

What are your opinions, will they do good, maybe other subs?

Tnx for the answers ! :drink40:

hells yeah, but is this for comps? I'd tune them lower to destroy the low end but that's me.

At the most, i listen music in the range 36-42hz, and the box is gonna be for daily listening( for local shows too, but i need it to play music very loud and clean, not for burps. :ghost:

Or a different suggestion on the box tuning?

Another amp, why is that? The M4a is rated very high 5kw rms + @1ohm at 11.9V, so with .5ohm load( lets not include the box rise this time) i can get about 6-7kw at 12V...almost the same as the Z2a lv :drink40:

Cheers :attempt:

Should be good. Maybe a 2nd amp with both at 1 ohm instead of a new amp :peepwall:
