09 silverado crewcab LT IAK worktruck THE REMIX

Recommended Posts

Its that time of the year when it cools down a little outside and you thing about how you could improve on your current system. Well my system could use alot of improvment. just about everything in the truck is getting replaced or altered to become a better version of itself. there for we have THE REMIX!!

The soundproofing may seen exessive but this is my work office and the barriers on the roof would make it more comfortable in the 105 degree summers.

Here is a list of components that are going to make up the build:

-Bravox cs60cf components front replacing RE audio 6.5 components

-Bravox cx60cf co-axils. rear fill replacing nothing

-Sundown sax100.4 to run front and rear doors. replacing sundown 125.2

-A long list of Sound Deadener Showdown products replacing around 300 sqft of Fatmat double layered and still stinks a year later

Including. Cld tiles, MLV, CCF, and butyl rope.

-Sundown Audio saz1500d replacing saz3000d (too much power for this setup) subject to change

4x sundown SA-8s in a new enclosure(subject to change)

Alpine 9887 head unit with onstar hook up replacing factory head unit

XS 1200, Deka 9a31, plus factory battery

The A-pillars will be glassed and wraped in black to match the dash with the new Bravox tweeters

The doors will be sealed and deadened with CLD tiles, an MLV and CCF layer as well as treated with butyl rope

The entire floor and roof will be treated the same way. I didnt realize hou big the inside of the truck was untill i sent Don the measurments to order the deadener.

I already have 2 runs of Knukonceptz to tha back and BIG 3 done. i will relocate my XS to behind the rear seat to make room i=under the hood for the factory airbox.

Im working on the A pillers today since im waiting for my sound deadener material at the moment...just ordered yesterday. :eek5wavey:

Feel free to comment, bash, whatever floats your boat. Enjoy

Just for the record a throttle body spacer does nothing on those trucks and especially since your in Texas a tune from Nelson Performance in San Antonio is eleventy-billion times better than a jet chip.

I like all the gear you are putting in the truck though. Good luck with the build

IM very familier with the performance side of the build. but it was used on ebay for 40 bucks for the chip and spacer. since my truck is still under factory warrenty i wanted something i could take off incase something comes up. im glad i did because its been to the dealer twice now. but thanks for your input as any knowledge is allways appreciated.

A pillars are done. for my first time wrapping anything i think it turned out pretty good. I see one ripple in the passenger side but only in the picture. i

I still need to figure out the "oh shit handle" its still tan. I thought about trying to dye it and make it work but that defeats the rebuild. i will just order a new one in black from the dealer.039.jpg042.jpg043.jpg

Brother, anything I can do to help, anytime. I can't imagine how busy he probably is either. So I take it the last quickie design worked out okay except for the slight miscalculation in the fit?

To the kid that said something about TB spacers, get real.

They obviously add over 50 horses. At each wheel! :morepower1:

:peepwall:

Build looks good so far though. I'm tuned in like a thirteen year old watching softcore porn on TV.

Once you finish all this up, you should level it by bringing the back end down a little, those trucks look amazing like that.

Looks nice man. Should be a nice set up when you get done.

Why not bridge the 100.4 on the front and put the 125 on the rear since you have the amps already? They would love the extra power and headroom. Space?

Dylan will get back to you, I guess he is busy. Took him a long time for myself too. It will be worth it in the end, the guy is damn good.

Question for you on the tint.

I want to put 5% over my factory tint on the rear doors and back windows also, but does it make it impossible to see out of at night or is it ok? I know it will be bad, but just how bad? lol

I am very limited on amp space and don't have room for the 125.2 also. Just to fit the 100.4 I need to downgrade my saz3k to a 1500d.

On the tint, its hard to see but not impossible. My reverse lights are bright enough to lead the way. I vote do it!

Yeah, mines running a little behind schedule. Removing the existing fatmat deadener is proving harder than I expected. Plus long work hours and shorter daylight is making it harder to work on it on the weekdays. I also blew another sa-8 so I had to order another recone yesterday. Everything has arrived nowi just need to find some time to ork on it.
