Chop"s 86' Cutlass

Recommended Posts

Swift, our first g-body was the most memorable, 85 regal, I wad just 17, me and momma chop loved that ride. Second, was 80 cutlass, a project had a strong start, but no finish, a lot of hopes, never took off. The third, a 86 regal with a 455 rocket, was our fastest one.to date, but this 86, is like family, she just sorta keeps hanging around, lol, we are racking up the memories with her quickly, recently tore out the fourth install, getting things together for some big plans.

I love the lowrider scene and all they do with these cars.

Everyone who knows me, is shocked by the lift.

Even though the lift may not be my thing, its looks like you have a really good looking clean ride. I look forward to seeing it in person. Paint looks wet!

Three weeks of sub standard checks, two holidays, two birthdays, and a new born....

My budget got stomped....on rebound currently with 70+ hours scheduled next week alone.

Recone replacements shipped, due Thursday.

Need to save, purchase, and install baffle....3 X 4'x8'x3/4" birch

Need to purchase and run four runs of 8 gauge to accommodate new sub count.

Got a solid feel on the direction of my doors, just waiting on $ .

4 crescendo 10"s/ 4 selinium tweets/ 16 3" tang bands.

A- pillars also.

Gotta look at amplification still, have a couple, but will need more.

Never got those buss bars ordered, but a simple project.

Sound deadening for floor is about 25% done, but all rust issues are fixed and it will be smooth sailing.

Bucket seats, you already know ....lol

So, $800 bucks and a few weekends of labor, at the most and all will be done, except purchase of bass amps.

Possible electrical upgrades in fall if a good year.

(Snow plow) that would help too lol.

As of right now, we call it right at 20 cubes.

I have intentions of attempting to re-measure one last time, have a team mate here to help double check all approaches....there are a lot of radius challenged angles and it is far from a rectangle....

I was going to break down and use the packing peanuts approach, but they cancelled my order and processed a refund after 6 weeks of waiting for shipment.!

The right recones came in today.

Whatever that means.

That means they'll only fit the speakers on the right, :(

Now we have to wait for the left recones...
