Rockford Fosgate speakers

Recommended Posts

So i've been browsing around for some components in the ~75Wrms range, and I saw that Rockford Fosgate has some Power series components that fit the bill.

The T1652-S and T2652-S look exactly the same, except for the fact that the T1 can be had online for 80 bucks, and the T2 is still around 200. As far as I can see, there is no difference except that cooling vent on the back, the tweeters are silver, and there's a pointy thing in the middle. If we're being honest, i'm not really going to push them too terribly hard, so I don't think that I would need the extra cooling.

I guess my question is: does anyone have any experience with RF speakers, and does anyone know the real difference between the T1 and T2 Power series components?

also, if you can kick in some suggestions for other 75Wrms (give or take) component sets around 100-200 bucks (the lower the better), that would be lovely.

I have not tried out any of their new speakers in ages. I still have my Fanatic Q's from the mid-90's, they were quite good that I remember.

I have a pair of rockford 6x8's in my doors. Not sure about the exact model number but I like them, for the price. The bass is pretty smooth too. Not punchy.

We actually just had both sets of those in the shop a few days ago, we ordered T2's and they sent T1's then resent T2's. The T2's have a nicer build quality and seem beefier in general.

different prices, different products !

Try to listen to them, and chose.

$200 is good money for a single set of comps. You won't have anything fancy, though !!

Generally speaking, you get what you've paid for :peepwall:.

Don't be to cheap on your front speakers, music is not all bass ! :captain:

ah but you see, the thing is, they are exactly the same on Rockford's website.

They even weigh the same, wtf? I'm sure the t/s parameters are different though.

I'd love a set of Focals, but i'm a poor college student. I'm just looking for something in the good to great range right now, not OMGTOTALLYAMAZING!!!!1! I know that music isn't all in the bass, that's why i'm getting my speakers set up before just upgrading to a better sub.

I emailed Rockford about this a while ago, I was told the only difference was an added phase plug to help with power handling, and the tweeter has an aluminum dome on the T2's. I have the T1's and i like them, I will say that i found the tweeter from the 05 T1's to be much nicer.

If only I had the money right now, I would jump on those prices. I need to get a job first :(

I really cannot recommend the Bravox group buy pricing enough. I seriously want to put them in my friends' cars, so I dont have to listen to anything that isnt them.

oh hell yeah, Steve Meade is my idol. I want 4 pairs of T2's in each door, and some custom 4" mids on my A pillars. Also, I can TOTALLY fit 4 AA SMD's in my trunk, I'll just to a blowthrough from the back seats. I'm gonna go get a loan for this tomorrow. THIS SHIT'S GOING DOWN!!!

Fuses are for the weak. Real men can sense the fire about to start and then put it out with their faces.
