if only there were a few cs57cf

You can easily get the CS50CF and grab a mounting plate. I have done it in the past. :)

Hey guys

I have a problem here, I need some input so here it goes

1) My factory tweeters have their own, bult-in frame. I do NOT have a custom tweeter frame to use my Bravox tweeters on and I cannot remove the one from the factory tweeter.

So basically, this is my problem

2) For the woofers, I bought the Scosche SA68 so that I could convert the factory 6x8 to 6.5

The problem is that the Bravox are a little bigger than the scosche 6.5 mount and when I try to mount the speaker to the adapter, the adapter only goes halfway the basket.

Can you guys guide me from here? Im really pissed I took out the door panels and couldnt do much but just look around.

^^^^^If you cant make your own baffle rings then get a shop to make them for you, thats what I did since my baffles were going to be in the doors and I knew moisture would mess up the mdf. So I went to a shop and got mine made of polyurethane plastic (about $40-50 for the pair but worth it). Not saying you have to get them made in plastic but just another option as well but most 6.5" speakers are oversize 6.5" or 6.75" speakers.

Your cheapest option would be to get some mdf and measue your speakers inside flange diameter and outside diameter and use that to make design out of cardboard or if your tool worthy then draw it on without a template. Cutout the baffles (make them as thick as you want 0.25-0.75" if need be) and viola.

You can do the same as above with the tweeters and measure the original frame and go from there. You can also put the tweeters in the sail or A pillars, dont know how much work you want to do or put into the car. But if you take pictures it would help make better options available for you, hope this helps.

I do not want to put a lot of work into this car.

With that said, I think Im just going to request a quote to a shop to see how much would it cost to make baffle rings and get a quote for mdf and plastic. Also see if they have that polyurethane stuff.

If quotes come out to be too expensive, then Ill think about making my own. You said mdf will get bad over time with moisture? I was actally thinking about using mdf in first place lol

Also, whats a good way to mount the crossover? I really dont want it to be rattling when the car is moving and/or with the midbass from the woofer.

I am very interested in the CS60CF and CX50CF. Where can I find more specifications on these two sets? I looked at the SSA store descriptions. I would like to know what the mounting depths(?????) are of both sets. I am hoping to mount the sets in the front and rear doors in the factory locations. Possibly in the future I will look at custom locations where the speakers could perform to the maximum potential.

Are Bravox manuals available for online viewing?

Is there a warranty on their products purchased from the SSA store?

I am ready to order pending the outcome of my questions!!!!!!!!

Thanks

I think Mark posted a photo of the mounting depth for the CS60CF earlier on in this thread. All specs we have should be up on the SSA store. There are usually manuals for the Bravox equipment on the Bravox site in a .pdf format, but for some reason they do not have them posted for the CF series. With these blow out prices, there is no warranty, as this is a one time deal.

Looks like I misunderstood!

So three different people in your area got those, thats what you meant (I thought you meant YOU got the 3 pairs lol)

Did you get any at all?
