High Output Alternator For BMW

Recommended Posts

Whats up SSA Forums, Im looking to replace the alternator on my 2002 BMW 530 ASAP with an HO Alternator. My search online and in person has not been too good, so i was wondering if any of you guys could refer me to a person, website, or shop if it's close to the Raleigh/Durham area in North Carolina.

Thanks

i doubt there close to you but try contacting DC power. They actually just joined SSA so you can find threads all over about them. Read up and decide from there. Remember though its better to spend more money on a quality HO alt than to go the cheap route and have to buy more than one because your not satisfied.

M5 is out of his element with that one lol. OP, DC power is apart of this forum. Ask them as they are the best you can get.

LOL, I dont think M5 is a basshead.

The trend is to go from SPL to SQ, Sean was big into SPL back in the day.

Lets get this back on topic fellas plus I doubt Sean has ever looked up alternators for every single BMW.

OP the only advice I can give you is search for h/o alternator threads and find the reputible companies you want to deal with then call them. Most h/o alternator companies tend to do better if you call them rather than email them, I wish you the best of luck.

DC Power is in Knoxville, TN I believe.

Edit: There is a reason I said "I believe" in this post, I did not know for sure.

Depending on how much power your looking for we can do anything between 230 and 300. These are some of our biggest and best alternators we build and definitely better than the 120 amp stock alt.. Pleas let me know if there is anything we can do for you.. Rob
