Longboard Island Lager

Recommended Posts

Just bought a sixer and there is only one left! Longboard Island Lager is the bomb!

I've had it straight from the bottle and wasn't sold. BUT poured into a beer glass ... WOW! What a difference. This beer is tasty! Spicy hops, malty goodness. Yumm!

Never tried that or even seen it. What is it comparable to?

I get my kicks from Pale Ale or IPA style beers. There's nothing like getting hop punched to the face by a good IPA. If you like the hoppy taste of beer, might I suggest Surly Furious, brewed right here in my home state, Minnesnowta!

Sorry to butt in like that, I just LOVE beer!

I can't compare it to anything really. It is a Lager so it's not as hoppy as a IPA. If you want lighter and still some hops taste then try it. Don't know if you have Bevmo in Minn. but they carry it. Might be a westcoast thing.

Thanks for the suggestion. Might I also suggest something. Also a west coast thing. Try this ale called Arrogant Bastard. As they say, it's a AGGRESSIVE beer!

I've always wanted to try Arrogant Bastard but have never seen it anywhere to try!

AB is thick but VERY tasty. Seems like an 'after dinner good cigar' type beer.

I have been one a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale kick lately too. That has consistently been occupying the apartment fridge. trink40.gif
