BTL or BL12

Recommended Posts

I currently have a 12bl fully loaded followed by a sundown sae 1200d. Is it worth returning the two and buying a 12in FI BTL and an audioque 2200d? Or should i keep what i have right now? With the items i have now i spent about $650-700 including shipping, However if i were to purchase a btl12 and an audioque 2200d it will cost me about $789, but i get refunded $139. Should i do it?

Think about it. You are going to NEED to beef up your electrical if you havent already to accomodate 2200 watts of power. Big 3, Extra Battery, and if your voltage is still significantly dropping then high output alternator will be the next thing you need. I highly doubt your car was made to take in 2200 watts of extra power. That will be to much of a strain on your electrical. If you dont have the money to keep your electrical steady then keep the bl then work your way up.

The Skizzy is right. a decent battery is at least $300 shipped (and that's decent, not really good) even if you don't do the highoutput alt which you almost most likely will need to do, Wiring alone will run you about $100 more. high output alt is around $400. Upping the power to >2000watts is huge step with your electrical.

Pricing Info:

Battery- kinetik hc2400 (xs power 3100 would be better most likely)

Wiring - knukonceptz 1/0 gauge power wire 25-30 feet

Alt- Iraggi. (DC much better, but not made for as many vehicles)

Stuff isn't cheap man. Good luck with whatever you do! :rockwoot:

X2 you definitly need electrical upgrade before you even think about a 2 kw system

you guys are right. I should keep my bl12. Im running 1500 watts rms. Im going to do the big3 with all 0 gauge and i will see if my voltage drops, if not im fine, but if it does ill thin k about getting a kenetic battery. Besides this is my first system, it should be very loud for me
