Wire Adaptors: Good or Bad?

Recommended Posts

I have heard that a big solid chunk of wire has alot of resistance so thinking along those lines I was wondering if using a wire adapter was bad or not. In case you don't know what I am talking about I am talking about reducing for example 1/0 guage to 4 guage by using one of these

The advantage for me is that it opens up other fuse block options that were previously too small. It will also make connecting the wire to my amps easier too since old Hifonics has these stupid square wire connections. So if there is no affect then hell yes I want to use them....oh yeah and thanks for the quick reply....my buy finger in itchy....

I am currently using them on 2 of my amps. They work great. I had to sand down the metal a little but they hold tight and work great. If you do decide on them I suggest you wrap the excess metal with electrical tape.
