let me tell you somethin about trunks.

Never install an 18 in the trunk unless it's like a town car type trunk and even then.. you may be pushin it.

Just because the box may fit And be of sufficient size doesn't mean it will perform well when the whole trunk is the box.

For a typical daily driver in a small car like that, If you like the lows, i'd fire sub forward, port to the passenger side tuned in the low 30s.

A single 15, single 12 or 2 10s would work in those trunks.

For a little bit more loud punchy bass that will feel like your chest is resonating... fire forward, port to driver side and tune in the high 30s like 36-40hz.

Hey thanks for your input it really helps I appreciate it. Do you think that 2 12's would work out. I would like to get the most bass i could fit in the trunk.

Nope, won't work... Ive tried, there is just not enough room in the trunk for a proper box for an 18. I have an 05 Corolla and 18"BL at the moment and ended up taking the seats out in the back and doing a half wall. Here soon I am going to recone the 18 down to a 15 to reclaim my backseats and put the sub in the trunk. I have found that in Corollas 1-12" do nice in the trunk with a box at 4cuft tuned to 32 for daily driving application and it will fit in the trunk with space left for amps and a little storage. When I had my 12'' I built various different boxes and that size and tuning worked best in the Corolla, let me know if you decide to go that route and I can send you the same box blueprints I built mine off of. Never had a 15 before so my new trunk build should be interesting.

Reconsider your choice! if your new to audio start smaller and work towards the big boy toys!

If you want the rear seats to remain, a pair of 12" SSD's would be a great starting point.

Good luck trying to fit an 18" sub in a corolla. I did manage to get a 18" Bl into a trunk of a Accord with sufficient airspace inside the box but that was barely able to fit. A Corolla trunk opening is much smaller and the trunk itself has much less cubic airspace.

Go with 12s and I am sure you will get plenty of bass.

I think a 12" Q or BL would be good for you to start out with for some nice bump, like I said in Corolla a 12" in a 3.5-4cu ft enclosure slot port tuned to 32hz. It will fit into the trunk but give you some nice bump. Lol I registered in 07 but this is barely my second post, just realized. I guess I should go to introductions forum... Hello everyone, not ment to thread jack..
