More Enclosure stuff for sa 10s

Recommended Posts

Ok i am still tryin to get the math down and figure out what would be the best overall enclosure . I want a wide range of response and to be loud as well. I know going with a high tune will most likely produce high spl levels but this is not a competion box. I am not interested in serious sq but want it to be musical and not really peaky I have some box specs and would like some help in deciding if the box will work for what i want

width- 47in

height- 21in

depth-14in

port width-3.5

port lenght1-9.75

port lenght2-3

port area -68

volume 5.6cubes

tuned 35htz

4 sorry forgot to metion i have made so may threadz lol

each driver will have around ~1.3cubes of volume which fits sundown specs. 35hz is a good choice for a little more output but still maintaining sq.

What amp(s) will you be using?

are your wiring the drivers to a final load of 1ohm? If so then your giving the drivers their rated rms so you shouldn't have any issues with power handling, and good idea with the eq for the ssf.

I've read a couple posts about the ssf on some rf amps being a little iffy, but I don't remember if this amp was one of them...

well the ssf is fixed at 28htz which is a problem for higher tuned boxes I thought the rated was 600 my birthsheets says i am putting out 3303 at 1 ohm. But i just put my numbers into 12volt and it said my box is 6.4 cubes while re says 5.6 cubes i did a search and see re is off so back to the drawing board lol 12volt says y measurements should be

width 44

height 20

depth 14
