Looking for cheap and low subs

Recommended Posts

Hey, i've been looking for days on the internet but there are just too many subs to choose from. I asked about what subwoofer would be best for me on another forum but lets say they werent very helpfull.

So im looking for a single or 2 subwoofers (dont know what's best yet) for in my car. I got a kind of low budget but i just want to get some nice bass. It is for daily use btw, if it matters.

I live in The Netherlands, so im not sure if all subwoofers can be shipped to here.

So, what i found yet:

http://www.pimtensen.nl/shop_details.php?grp_id=6&sub_id=18&cur_id=7117 (Is it any good because it costs only $66??)

Or something like this:

http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/products/TS-W308D4/print.html

I want to get 2 subs of the above, or do you guys recommend just one really good sub instead of 2?

I hope you guys can help me out.

PS: The space available in my trunk is: 90 centimeters wide (35.4 inches) / 35 centimeters high (13.7 inches) and the depth just as much as it needs to be.

Alright cool, if the subs i mentioned are shitty subs i will get some others and ship them. But like on the sonic electronix website, the costs of shipping to the netherlands are more than $100 so i think you can imagine i prefer to keep it cheap.

But, could you help me out wich subs i should get? Are the ones above (the MTX and Pioneer) any good?

Or do you recommend some other subwoofers, or maybe just one wich alot of power?

Well, first off what vehicle do you have, what electrical upgrades do you have, and what are your max dimensions.

I got a 1989 nissan sunny:

I dont know exactly what u mean by electrical upgrades, but i prefer just to keep 1 battery and i dont know about a capacitor (i heard they ruin more than that they do good). And i want to keep a low budget, so it's no problem if i can't play music loud with the engine off. I prefer to save some money not buying an extra battery and only play music with the engine on.

Max dimensions are mentioned above:

90 centimeters wide (35.4 inches) / 35 centimeters high (13.7 inches) and the depth just as much as it needs to be.

What is your budget?

Like $650 total but without the box, ill make it myself (atleast if i know the dimensions)

And ofcourse, it's better to stay under that amount.

PM send,

So what do you think julian is around $650 enough for a reasonable system, including the HU?

And the mtx at my first post are they any good? They are only around 60 bucks so atleast the price is good.

Or what subs do you recommend, including an amp? Because i cant figure out what amp i need with a sub. (If you got two 350w rms subs (4 ohm), do you need an amp with 4 ohm 700w rms x 1ch. or 350w rms x 2ch. or doesnt it work this way?)

I used to have a Polk audio db 12, and I'd sounded great and got real low. They are I think 60 on sonic electronix it's is decently loud.

I had a a crunch 500.2 for one. It's suposwd to put out 250 watts a 4 ohms, I doubt I actualy did. I would find an amp that puts our 500 rms @ 2 ohms for two four ohm subs. I wouldedt powere them more that 250 rms because they hit their mechanicl limets pretty fast. There is also the fi x which looks like what you want
