first, you need to define better.. Do you want it to be loud? Will the SSD's be 15's as well? Do you have around 10 cuft for a box for the 2 15's?

What he is asking, and what we aim for here, is to really define the goals in more concrete terms. Both set ups will get loud and have high output in the proper install.

If you decide on the BTL, you should really decide if you actually need all the options or not. The SSD's are excellent sub woofers, especially for the money, and are usually more then enough for most every daily driver install. The BTL is one of the premier high output drivers available, that when installed to Fi specs and suggestions, can still have great reproduction.

thanks. how do the ssd's compare to planet audio's bb2 series subs?

The ssd's are 800 rms and built like a tank. I have been beating on 2 12's for almost 2.5 years now. Not sure how they would compare to the pa's you mentioned.
