Compression terminals -- Thoughts?

So I'm getting ready to do my wiring and I came across:

the battery terminals look pretty cool...

Any thoughts on compression terminals? Pretty secure?

Very effective when used properly. Probably the best connection conductively, but can also be a pain to get right. I still have some old Tiff compression connectors from many years ago. The best thing is, you can use them over and over again.

Sweet. I'm planning on using them with some 0 gauge welding cable....Should be a good match up I figure. Is there a possibility of them vibrating loose?

Not if you use them properly. The compression will hold them together. You'll feel resistance when tightening them. Just be careful not to overtighten as those are cast copper and you'll strip it fairly easy and then it won't tighten or loosen and you'll end up having to cut them off.

I can't remember who said but apparently the Kompression fit from Knuknoncepts are awful, but i'm not sure on the ones from remy, may be great, may suck let us know!

I was actually just getting ready to say.....Hope they're better than the Kompression fittings from Knu. Because those suck ass.

But from the pictures, looks like the compression fitting is different.

TBH I think it was you! Haha, they look much beefier than the Knu Kompression fitting. but are they 5 dollars just for one? Seems a tad steep, I'd see myself using a lot of those in an install. 6 for the big 3, 2 for +12v, and 1-2 for -12v. I'd rather spend 50 cents to a dollar for some termanals and a Hydraulic Crimper.

I even had to remove and replace the wires a few times as I changed things up in my trunk. You have to measure the amount of wires you strip to expose properly though. I can see them not working well if you strip it too short or too long.

I have also read a ton of nightmare stories about their RCAs... But I use them on my front stage amp (I wanted all blue cable in the trunk, as all my amps use blue lights, my HU is blue, everything is blue), and have used them in a few friends' installs as well.

Anyways, my 2 cents is they are a really decent method of contact. I am using them now myself and I am quite pleased.

I don't think they're too user friendly they need a detailed manual for it .

I love their RCA's, i've always gotten quality products from them.

I tried several times and couldn't get the wire tight enough to appease me. Also, the Kompression nut was taller than the block itself so when trying to tighten/loosen to the Kompression fitting it would scrape and get caught on the bottom plate, which just added frustration and irritation when already pissed off about not getting the wire seated properly. This was a 1/0ga unfused distro block. Overall it was just a nightmare to use, but I guess the wire seating problem could have been related to the damn nut issue (wire wiggling around when trying to fight with the nut).

I think a nice set of Hydraulic crimpers and some terminals would be better
