Yes it's a little obscene that I have 97,800w on tap. No it's not in a car. Its in a 2200 seat church. All the power ratings except for the subs are at 8 ohms. We have all four channel amplifiers. I won't get into amplifier topology now, but suffice it to say... they're super efficient. 1x C10:4 (4 x 250 = 1000w) 1000 [fills] 4x C16:4 (4 x 400 = 1600w) 6,400 [high frequency] 4x C28:4 (4 x 700 = 2800w) 11,200w [monitors, fills] 4x C48:4 (4 x 1200 = 4800w) 19,200w [midrange] @ 8 ohms 6x FP10000Q (4 x 2500 = 10,000w) 60,000w [subwoofers, midbass] http://www.labgruppen.com/products/ All this is fed by a isolated power transformer that weighs in at 744lbs. Each amplifier is controlled and monitored through an ethernet based system called NomadLink. It will tell us amplifier temps, ohm load connected to each channel, fan speed, voltage input/output, switch and knob position as well as if the amplifier is online or not. I can also select channels in the system to mute/unmute and just listen to what is connected to that channel. All the amplifiers can be turned on and controlled with a normal PC. Before the signal hits the amps though, it runs through a 10 box crossover network. This is where the signal picks up it's EQ, Delay, HPF, LPF and signal summing and splitting before heading off into the amps and ultimately, into the drivers. Overall, there are 10 inputs and 71 outputs. There is a pretty much infinite amount of DSP I have to play with. Overhead in systems like these is a must have. If you're at 100% DSP use before you run audio through the network, you'll clip the DSP and end up with garbled or no audio. We sit currently at 53% DSP usage. We are running four clusters of four boxes. Each box has a 100° horizontal and 12° vertical throw. Inside each box there is 2 x 12" midbass, 2 x 8" midrange and 1 x 2" exit 75mm Coil Compression horn. So over all, there are 32 12" midbass drivers in the air . For subs, there are 6 boxes total. Three to each side of the stage. Each box encloses two 18" woofers capable of playing FLAT down to 8hz. The enclosures themselves are only 15" high due to a slanted mounting of the woofers internally. All six boxes are installed in concrete bunkers surrounded with fiberglass insulation. We have 15,000w slated just for the substage. Pics anyone?
