Fi Q (High QTS)

Recommended Posts

I'm looking into getting an Fi Q 15" subwoofer.

I want a great SQ sub so I figured this was the way to go, but now I have a dilemma.

I'm not sure if I should get the high QTS or not, I know I'm probably going to put it in a sealed enclosure, but I'm worried, if that isn't right for me.

If I change my mind in the future and decide to go ported, is the high qts going to be a problem?

Thanks.

If you plan to go seald, go with high qts but leave the option blank if you are goin ported, simple as that.

The HighQts option makes the new Q a "Mid Qts" woofer that works both well in sealed and ported alignments..

The 'standard' Q simply has too much motor strength to use in a sealed setup and doesn't sound great in that alignment, if you intend on using a sealed enclosure opt for the High Qts option, you may want to kick the Inductance ring around as well as it does help with upper end extension.
