need serious help

Ok so I have 2 fi ssd 12"s and a sundown saz-1500d,

my problem is if I turn it up past 32 on my head unit, my amp goes into protection and it sounds like one of the subs "pops"

any help would be awosme

My first two guesses would be improperly set gain, bass boost or EQ, and/or too weak of an electrical system kicking the amplifier into protect.

More details about the electrical system, wiring and system settings would be helpful. Also assuming you have the Fi's wired to a 1ohm load? What is the impedance of the coils on the SSD's?

I set the gain with a dmm like 3 volts less than what its supposed to be

No bass boost

And i just have stock electrical with the big 1 just battery to frame

My subs are dual 1 ohm and i have them each wired to .55 ohms so its a 1.1 ohm load if I did it right

I don't know if this will help but you can check your sub wiring by comparing to the wiring setup on this link: Subwoofer Wiring Diagrams

Double check the sub wiring and I would finish up your Big 3 and recheck. Good Luck!

I was gonna wire them in series/parallel but my amp has two "channels" but its still a mono-block, so i wired them each in series for a .55 ohm load a piece

I beleive if you wire them in series you will have 2ohm each.

May want to get someone to jump in here to verify, but if you paralleled each sub to each channel I think your giving the amp SAZ1500? a .25ohm load. Those amps I beleive have two channels but they are bridged inside. If that the case you need to try series each sub to each channel 2ohms each then internal bridge gives 1ohm. You need to wire each sub in series then just wire one to each terminal on the amp. Those terminals are connected internally, so you are paralleling them in the amp. Right now if I understand correctly your running the amp at .25 ohms. Not good.
