Fiber Optics in HU and amps?

Anyone have any inside info or guesses as to when car audio manufacturers will be using Toslink cables for connections.

Stepping up from a decent RCA cable to a fiberoptic cable made a noticible differnce in my HT set up.

They already are...in HUs and processors...I'm using optical out from my CarPC to the H700...works great!

They're quite easy to implement into the car...the hardest part I've run into is molding the screen into the dash...apart from that all you have to do is run the wiring, mount the pc case/monitor and voila, done.

Well, of course it would be expensive...there'd only be one source to get the cable from...the manufacturer.

But that's not what is being discussed here...we're talking about toslink/optical...it's not an exclusive connection, and therefore, relatively cheap...as I have shown with the link provided.
