10's, 12's, or 15's

Recommended Posts

i went to the local car audio store and one of the employees told me that 15's are unable to play very many rock songs because they "simply cant hit those notes, its impossible" he said. was this guy just feeding me a ton of bs to sell me his product or did he know what he was talking about? ( he also has never heard of FI )

ive had my heart set on two fi bl 15's but after that i dont know if i should reconsider and get 2, maybe 3 12's or even like 4 10's? ( kind of exaggerating, but not completely ) ive got a ford explorer so i have the room to fit this amount of subs.

most people have not really heard of Fi But It doesn't matter on the size of the cone on how low it can get he was filling you with BS. If 15's couldn't hit those notes then why would they make 18's

8" 10" 12" 15" 18" 21", etc can all reproduce the same notes and frequencies. Most local audio shops have never heard of FI, ssa, sundown, dc, etc, so it doesn't mean much when they say theyve never heard of them before ;)

That guy is a dummy fuck. You only want your subs to play 50-60hz on down. IF you want more mid bass don't look to your subs to help you out. That is the job of your front stage.

when your at a rock concert your hearing 21 inch and or 18 inch subs when that kick is sent thru your chest.....

but if your a rocker... you should prolly look at the Q's if your set on the FI line... or check out some X or D cons.

I cannot believe these shop people. I wouldn't start a business unless I knew a lot about what I was doing or selling.
