Someone got a new toy

Recommended Posts

My father and I found a guy selling a 2003 Royal Star for $8k, apparently he was behind on payments and didnt want to ruin his credit. Needless to say we split the cash and now own a smooth cruiser :D

eh..it's a bagger with mini apes...yuck.

though they are indeed nice rides, that's just not my style.

it looks to be in really good shape, and at a decent price. but it needs 60spokes to go with them white walls (which always looks good on a bagger)

enjoy the wind brother and keep the rubber side down!

I have been and still am looking for a nice harley, but the only ones in my price range are 91 models. This bike is going to be my fathers, he just didnt have all of the cash ATM. My plan is still to find my own bike and have him pay me back the 4k I lent him. I am still undecided on what I want. I know that it will be a cruiser. My plan is to be taking trips with my father and two uncles, so I will need my own bike. Honestly I like the way it rides, it is soo smooth but being that it is 800lbs doesnt help me much being 6'2" and 185 I feel that I ant the same type of bike but a little further peg stance. Also ~100 lighter would be nice.

nah, i changed the seat to a rally runner, actually quite comfortable...

adn they make peg extensions....arlen ness has a few, as does kuryikan....

btw....my bike is 88 cubes and 698pds....so urs really isn't all that heavy considering the bags, screen and such....

if u like that style, u need to find urself a fatboy, even if it is a 91 model...

Fatboys and unequiped ultraglides are what I have been looking at. The 2 that I rode shook the crap out of me. The fatboy rode terrible, I beleive that it was just that bike though. The UG was nice but out of my price range.

I've been looking at bikes myself and so far the only one that fit me exactly right is the Suzuki s50. 450lbs, 800cc, shaft drive and the pipes run out of the way of your legs. I'm 5'4" so I had to find something that fit me without burning my calves. Weight isn't a problem because I'm plenty big enough to handle it. It's supposed to be just a hair behind the big bore cruisers because of it's light weight.

I could kick myself in the ass for not buying my wife's mothers bike. Her husband died recently and she sold his Vulcan Drifter (2001 with 1100 miles) for $2500. It was so clean you can't imagine. I don't think she wanted to sell it to me because she would see it all the time and it would remind her of him so I didn't press buying it...
