Grandma's car New box test

Recommended Posts

I have been playing with Grandma's car (1996 Mercury Sable) built another box 3.8 cubes tuned a 35hz. Some testing. I have an Audiocontrol Epic160 its harder to hit always is 3 to 4 DBs lower than the TL. I wanted to show you didn't have to spend money on high price subs. I have 2 Kicker CVX 10s 600w each. First test on a Kicker 1000.1 at 2ohm 850w cost $350 - 139bd maybe a 141 or a 142 on the TL Second test on a Audiopipe 1500D at 1ohm 1500w cost $200 - 143bd maybe a 145 or a 146 on the TL All test were done on music so maybe a 150db peak on spl not bad for 2 10s.

You expect a 5 dB gain by going from music to tone?

And you contradict yourself a lot. I cannot wait to see these numbers. What sanction competition?

PS - the meter doesn't "hit" anything.

Well , do you think moving the epic160 back 6 to 8 inch in the kick made a differents from the kicker amp to the audiopipe???? :puzzled::puzzled:

These are really not as accurate as a TL?! LOL, could be a 150db. GL man. :werd_msword:

I know man but I'm getting alot of sh1t for it. Honestly I don't think I will hit a 150 but one can hope. I have 2 Atomic AP12s on order so I was just playing around with these.

Ah I did not see that mentioned, just didn't want you to get your hopes up on hitting a 150 with that setup(kicker cvx 10s) on a TL

150's are possible with two 10's, heck with a single 8" if you know what your doing.

Hey I was just playing around with them cause I have 2 Atomic AP12s on order. I'm not getting my hopes up don't really care what they do on the meter. They are 600w each and I'm throwing around 750w each at them. Honestly the numbers surprised me really didn't think they would do that well. O and I edited a lot out of the vid.
