i need advice and in a bad way!!

Recommended Posts

ok so ive been wanting to re-do my setup for some time now in me 2000 chevy blazer 4 door. as of now i have (had) 4 RF p3 12's and a t1500. i now have a sundown 3500 and want to move on to some higher quality subs. now heres my dilema, i wanna compete in meca shows but the rules state that my box cant be over the back of my seat. now ive been looking for 2 "small ported box" 15's that i can pound on. my buddy has 2 american bass hd 15's in a blazer xtreme doing a 147-148 and hes in my class but i dont like the hds. i need some suggestions on what kind of subs i can get to be louder than him but still haave a fairly small ported box. my max dimensions would be 37.5 x 16 x 31.5. i figure that would give me right around 7.5 cubes after displacement. what 15s would work well in that application. im kinda going for spl and sq but more for spl. i need help with this bad!!!

Budget would be great, also in MECA the classes vary by cone size and fuze rating, so you could potentially be in a different class. There was a guy this weekend running a 40A fuze and hitting a 141-142ish. And he was in like the S1 or S2 class where most people will only do like 130's. But yes budget and if you would be adding more amps would be the best to get some good quality help from the forum.

my budget is like 750 or so. I would be in street 2. if I added another 3500 it wouldn't be for a few months as thos aren't cheap lol I thought about nightshades but if I did those id have to get one then wait a couple weeks then another one

I was going to say the Z V.2 but that is out of your budget. IIRC those like smaller enclosures also.
