4 channel amp question

hello guys i was wondering would it be ok to run 1 sub that is 150 watts rms off a 4 channel amp and run front speakers in a car on the other 2 channels of the amp ?

so you wnat to bridge 1 channel of the amp and use the other one channel to power normal speakers?

will this be okay it SHOULD be if you have a sax50.4 or 100.4 lol but other amps i can't speak for! which amp are you refereing to and also get a link for us! and we will let youknow if your amp is flexible enouhg to complish this goal!

yes you can bridge 2 channels mono to your subs and have 2 running stereo to your comps.

Yes. As long as the sub represents a 4 ohm load or higher.

And of course as long as the amplifier is bridgeable in the first place.

*caveat to Nick's comment, some 4chn amps are stable bridged at 2ohms but you'd have to have a really nice old school piece for that to be the case or something extremely unusual. Most likely he is dead nuts right.

Please read your amps owners manual / wiring diagrams to make sure the amp will operate that way (run 2 of the 4 channels mono). just a suggestion. No amp name or model # was given.
