4x6 help

Recommended Posts

I don't know what to put in my dash, it has stock 4x6 speakers, I want to try to do a 4" comp set or something like that, or should I just replace with coaxs? I know they make plate speakers but I don't know which way to go. I want a good clean sounding front stage with alot of bass, and crisp clean highs too. Help please.

Can you mount 6.5s in the doors?

Well then I wouldn't put anything in the dash. Just get one good set of components for the doors.

That depends on what you like and if you have subs or not. If you have subs then i wouldnt suggest putting them in the rear deck speaker location. I would just install one component set in the front doors with some deadening to the doors and then go from there to see if you should add the other set or not.

I have two dp 21's and the rear 6x9's are right behind the front two seats, not the rear deck, it's a 88 s10 blazer 2 door. And my doors are deadned but I'm building fiberglass panels for the front doors because there is no stock placement for them there.
