Wiring for subs and speakers?

Recommended Posts

I'm new to car audio and i need help to figure out what wires and/or wiring kits would be a good purchase for me.

My system:

2 Fi Q12's fully loaded (subs) Fi:

2 Alpine SPR-13s (speakers/ 4 total) Alpine Electronics of America, Inc.

1 Audioque 2200D (amp for subs) Audioque: Amps: AQ2200D

1 Alpine PDX-4. 100 (amp for speakers) Alpine Electronics of America, Inc.

1 Alpine CDA-105 ( head unit) Alpine Electronics of America, Inc.

I was looking to get wiring stuff off of knukonceptz.com but give me other websites please, and help me find all the wire i'm going to need.

thank you

I dont use wiring kits so i'll just tell u what size wire to use

16awg wire for your mids\highs is plenty of wire!

12awg wire is plenty for your subwoofers

1/0 cable for your AQ2200d

4awg for your Alpine PDX-4.100

Fuse within 18" of AQ amp with fuse of 150-200A.

Fuse within 18" of Alpine amp with it's onboard fuse rating.

Because the Alpine amp pulls a lot less current, it may be wise to use an AGU or mini-anl fuse holder for this amp to save on money for both the fuse holder and the cost of fuse if it ever pops.

Thank you, this helped a lot... do you recommend a website to buy this stuff off of?

You just need one 80A fuse with a 4 AWG kit
