Help me set my system up!!!

Recommended Posts

Ok if everything goes smooth I should have 4 ssd 12's. They are dual 2s, (the last version not the new ones) comming my way. The question I have for you guys is how many do you think I should use and what type of box. If its 4th or 6th order I will have to pay for a design (not a big deal). This is what I have

1993 toyota pickup regular cab (this is going to be a blow through)

I dont have the alt installed yet but I am going to get the 150 amp alt on as a second

2 deka g31's

Sundown saz-1500

do I do 2 in a 6th order at .5 ohm (iv ran the amp at half ohm already so Im not affraid there)

do I do 3 subs at .33 ohms

or 4 at 1 ohm

and what are your ideas on box?

This is going in a daily driver but I don't listen to it loud very often and its for short bursts when it is.

Thanks for any ideas and imput given.

O I hope here by the first of the month I will have a second saz1500 on the way :)

i'd highly recommend doing a normal ported enclosure or 4th order for daily use.

6th orders are extremely hard to tune properly and are not as transient as the other designs i just mentioned.

Ask fi and make sure SSDs even work well in 4th order first before trying it.

4th orders don't require too too much more room compared to a ported box.

Good luck sticking 4 subs in a truck with a decent size box and power ,REMEBER smaller box's REQUIRES more power. So if your already underrating the ssd's (800rms) they wont be gutting pounding loud. I think you should think about what your doing first that might be a pipe dream.

well with some thinking i am either considering 2 or 3 of them but I cant seem to find the t/s or anyone that has used them in a 4th order. I would like to do a 4th order, something I have never built and have always wanted to do.

Don't run under 1ohm.

You're going to have problems.
