I bought a 50 farad Stinger capacitor (dont make the whole cap vs battery argument thats not what im here for) and it came with instructions on how to install it using 2 amps, but i need the diagram to hook up 1 amp to it

i need to figure out where i wire it up, it has 2 + and 2 - connectons and i cannot figure out which one is input and which is output

i have correct grounds, atl, and wiring and it still dims with an fi bl12 and 1500 amp, please help me wire it up

Im not going to tell you to use a cap or not since its your money and you think it will help you. But if you have the correct grounds, alternator and wiring then if your still dimming then you dont have the correct grounds, alternator, battery or wiring. Make sure you do it right instead of throwing a band aid on your problem.

You must have a problem somewhere in your install.

I'm not an expert, but I don't think the big cap will help you a lot.

I want to read what other members or mods will tell you.

Good luck

Well instead of adding a band aid then either show us some pictures of how it is wired or tell us how it is wired and we will be glad to make sure your you get it right before you cause damage to your car or equipment. First things first, do the Big 3 if you havent done it then make sure all your ground wires are grounded right (good ground spot, paint shaved off and so on). What electrical upgrades do you have at all if any? If your running on stock electrical then tell us what it consist of (battey and altenator size).

120amp alternator

best battery for the car (its a BMW hard to find the correct battery)

I have the power and ground from the amp going to the cap and a ground to the chassis going to the cap and a power cable going from the battery to the cap.

and i tired a second battery and it took up to much room, the cap is a lot easier for placement for my application and its a large one

but like i said i dont want to argue about whether or not to use the cap but how to install it

anyone on this forum use this cap before?

Simply put, it shouldn't be in there. It's obviously not helping you, do it right and get a small battery or upgrade your alternator, it takes power to make power.

You mean... you couldn't go to Stinger's website, go to the product page and down load this manual?

http://www.stingerelectronics.com/images/pdfs/4SPC505-5010-5050%20instructions.pdf

For the price you paid for that chunk of electronics... you could have gotten 2 of any of the following XS Power batteries D375, D680, D925, D975.

Not to mention, they're all so small you could have stashed them anywhere.

You can see in the manual what the positive and negative is.

The 2 inputs under the remote power distribution block is the negative, the other 2 are the positive.

(and you really shouldn't use the cap, it does more harm then good.)

Read the manual, it doesn't matter how many amps you have.
