BL with SAZ or SAE

Recommended Posts

Alright so I am wondering which amp would be better for my setup. The SAZ 1000 or SAE 1200 hooked up to a BL 15 wired at 1 ohm? I know the SAZ is more of a performance amp and the SAE is more commercial I guess. But which one would power the BL better and not cause me to worry about blowing my sub or frying my amp?

Either, doesn't matter. They're fairly similar in power output, either could destroy your sub just as easily as the other with the wrong finger on the volume knob. It's all about how you set/use the gain.

:+1: , Since both do around the same amount of power then get the cheapest one if your concerned about budget, if budget is not a factor then get the more costly one.

I read somewhere that the SAZ-1000 is for people who can't fix a larger amp but still wants 1000+ rms. And that the SAE-1200 is actually the more powerful amp.

If you ever plan on strapping another amp with it later than go for the SAZ if not the SAE is just fine. Whichever is cheaper is what I would do.

If you don't need the additional features of the SAZ (strappable, 18V power input, etc) than go with the cheaper SAE.

They are only $15 difference and that doesn't matter to me really. So I guess I won't see any difference in the subs performance?

No you want hear the difference at all, if price doesnt matter then go with the SAE-1200D.
