The Jeep Might be back !

Recommended Posts

It may be alive again... drove it around a bit today with no issues.

So far we have changed:

Coil

Rotor button

Camshaft position sensor

Crankshaft position sensor

Going to drive it around a few days to see if I'm comfortable taking it to Whiteville, NC for nSPL clamped power classes :)

Then the real no-wall build will probably start after that.

Good to hear! To much invested in dampening to let that Jeep go to waste!

Good luck!

Any updates!!!! And what no-wall class will you be in. You know I run 2501-5000. Right now its 15 Ns on a SD 3kd but by finals i'm looking to do 4 SA-12's on 2-2500's. Hoping to join the 150 club.

I may do 2501 - 5000 depending on what amps I have in at the time... will be pretty loud in that class as-is.

In the mid 3000s on power (3200-3500) it does mid 152s at the dash and high 154s in the kick @ my shop with the Magic Box.

Changed from two 1500s on a D2 woofer (0.5 each) to one 3500D on a D1 woofer (0.5) and gained a bit... so this is what I will run @ the show. Right at 4000 watts clamped.

You still using the 16 volt setup? I have problem with rise. I just can't seem to keep it down. Last show I had my 3kd wired @ .25 and my rise was 3 ohms. I only made 2611 watts at 147.3 . I think when i get the rise down and start making full power I'll hit that 150 mark.

Just need to keep tring new boxes. I hope I'll do better in the class when I increase my cone area and add over power. I'll strap 2 2500's 1 ohm so each amp will see .5 . Hope that will keep me close to you & cookie.

16 volts -- the Magic Box has huge impedance rise so I either have to run 12 v / 0.25 or 16 v / 0.5 to get good power :)

Yep, 16 volts is back in the Jeep.

Alot of rise isn't necessarily bad... my box has a ton of it. Just wire down lower or run 16 volts.

you will have to give me some pointers soon jacob im getting a 92 2dr for cheap to use as a comp car, will use 2 ns 15s or 18s whatever fits the best under window line and 2 4500s, so after batts amps and shit it will probably be 2 15s lol, to bad we cant run 16v in mwspl but we do get to do outlaw hehe nice numbers for sealed tho bro, and on the rise, sundown amps seem to shine when rising to 2 ohms, we clamped my 1500 wired at .66 on stock electrical at [email protected]@12v and after i added my batts and a buss bar on the alt, we blew 160a of fusing on a clean signal so at around 13.7v this map put out a lot of juice burping 20 hz tone lol, clamped the saz4500 at the last show and got [email protected]@13v rising from .5, so they put out even after rise lol
