What amp to go with?

Recommended Posts

The amp will not come with an amp kit. The size of the wire you get will depend on the amp you get.

OH and cause PDX amps are pucking amazing :fing34:

And that alpine amp is too expensive for me lol. I was thinking thinking around 400 or less. Maybe a sundown or kicker 1000.1

I don't know for sure, and i don't feel like checking.. but i'm pretty sure all Kicker amps are 2ohm stable.

...just go with Sundown Audio ;)

Between the sundown and the AQ, which one is going to be better for me? And the extra 200 watts wont be too bad on the sub right?

Both amps will make you happy, extra 200wrms wont hurt. Depends on what you like from your research on the products.

My vote.. is the PDX ;) BUT.. the Sundown would be my second :D

If you set the gain on the sundown amp with a dmm.. Then no you will have no problems at all....

Get the amp that fits in your budget, goals and power requirements. You wont notice the difference in 200 watts so dont worry about that at all. Depending on what sub and voice coils you get, will help us determine what amp will be good for you.

I'll probably go with the Sundown 1200 and the 15 BL. I think this will pound pretty good. The 15 will fit in my trunk right? The smallest parts of my trunk are 3' by 4' by 20".

Yeah you should be able to get a 15" subwoofer in there, make sure you get the Dual 2 ohm option on the BL so you can wire the sub to a 1 ohm final load:

Alright thanks for the diagram too. Lots of great help. Should I have the sub facing up or out (if there's enough room)?
