Setting the level on my alpine deck

Recommended Posts

I have an Alpine deck and it has a subwoofer level feature. It goes from 0 to 15. My question is this the same thing as bass boost? I dont want to create more distortion for the sub then I need to. I have the bass boost all the way down on my amp. Im a noob so any positive feed back will be appreciated. Oh by the way I just got my 12" SSD with BP power and HQTS in a sealed 1.1 cu ft box. Running JBL BP 600.1 at 1 ohm. Hope to get anoher amp in the future, but first I'll need a better alternator. THX

it is what it says, a level control. It is not a bass boost as they boost 40hz, The level control is a volume control for the sub level.

Set it to the highest level and then set your gains. This allows you to blend the subs with your front.

level 15 to show off level 5 or so to ride around and chill.

Just make sure to set gains with it on full tilt.

Awesome THX. Just the answer I was looking for. Gonna go outside and make some noise.

Also remember to keep the loudness feature off. From what I've heard it clips it pretty hard too. So no loudness or bass boost.
