Question about different DCON subs

Recommended Posts

ok so i ordered a DCON 12 single vc 4ohms about a month ago and it was the same as pictured on the website so i ordered another last friday and got it in like an hour ago and when i opened the box it only says SSA while the one i bought a month ago say SSA DCON on the dust cap. So my question is did i get the wrong speaker or did i get stuck with an older/newer model? i really like the one that say dcon on it. but i jus want to make sure that i got a recent model. thanks in advance for your answers!!!

We don't have any inventory built up, so there are no old models. What happened, it seemed was an original dust cap was mistakenly put on the later Dcon. Email us: support "at" soundsolutionsaudio.com if you would like the red "Dcon" dust cap shipped out to you.

it sounds very nice im impressed by how good it sounds in such a small box!!!! i currently have it in a pre fab box that is probably not even a 1cubic feet. and i am running it on a

Sundown Audio SAX-100.4D with both front channels running my 6.5" components and the rear channels bridged into the DCON 12 svc 4ohms which it does 320rms as they say but i think its a lil more. I plan on building the box that they have plans for on their website wich im pretty sure im gonna be more impressed when i here it in a good box!!!

I am pretty sure they would just send you the dust cap, and then you would glue it in place. But i am not 100%.

Yes, just faster and less expensive to send out a new dustcap.

Yup not hard at all! Just take a razor knife and cut the old one off, clean all excess glue by gently scraping with razor knife and re-glue!

I hear you there! My 10" doesn't have the DCON logo either.

It really is not hard at all. Just take your time removing the old dust cap.
