yes it makes sense if you want to throw more power to a subwoofer but it's just i dont want people coming on this forum thinking "i am gonna get a BTL and throw massive amounts of power on it" without any support of electrical...and thats what i want people to realize it takes alot more than a amp and sub to make things work.....

I just asked a simple ? lol Im not planing to go ape shit with this truck my truck cant take that much due to the fact the electrical cant take it yet and I have two kids that ride back there also I cant find a bigger alt for it if I do and upgrade it It will void the warranty Im planing to add a second battery but I dont think that will do much good

A secondary battery or beefier main battery will make a difference, yes. As for your warranty, I am not sure if they will realize that you are just protecting your truck, but who knows, they try and void everything now it seems. That's a question for your dealer. I think the jist of that arguement is that a BTL will work for you, just be prepared for the extent of the upgrades needed. If you don't want to go that route, get another BL and a little bit bigger of an amp, and a few electrical precautions like a secondary battery, big 3, and 0 gauge. Should be fine as long as you don't go too crazy. Whenever you want to take the next step up, everyone on here will chime in and help with that. Apologies for thread jacking.

When i upgraded my electrical in the car cost more then the audio equipment....I didnt even get a huge electrical upgrade.All i have to say bro is just find a way to be satisfied with something else in ur car without going crazy over board just in a truck. He already has a BL, why sell that and take Qs? They are different types of drivers and his goal is output. And why do you say just in a truck? How is that relevant?

so far im running a T600_ 4 channel for my highs with fosgate power series components 1 T 1000 1bd for my sub a Bl 12" run off a stock 6 Disk head unit o Gauge power to my amps my sub is ran by 8Gauge wire don't remember what wire I used on my highs and I have a half ass big three only the block to chassis is o Gauge Im not sure how to go about running a second wire off my alt because my factory wire goes through a fuse block and I don't want to Fri my electrical oh and a 4 fared capacitor I know I need to change the stock head unit but in order to keep my on star a navigation along with the steering wheel controls I have to change a bunch of crap out and I haven't open that up to find out what Ill need or how to do it with out messing something up Its to my understanding that it will have to be reprogrammed if I disconnect it has any body done this on an 08 chevy

I have already built one box it sounds good but it has a little port noise I think it could be better though I have no problem building a box its the tuning I have the problem with but im kinda catching on I dont no why getting a btl would be a problem though Its just a more powerful sub yes it requires more power and you will need to up grade your power supply but that's really not that difficult but yea it can be a little pricey and Im building another one wright now my last one was a slot port Im gonna try a round port on this one but I think I might try building a slot port also and play with the tuning a little just for the hell of it the specs on my box Im running now are 53wide by 16 deep 9.5" high on one side and 8 " on the other the port in it is 4.5" wide coming out of the end of the box not sure what the two heights are without going out to the truck to measure it if you want it I can get it though and 32" long

I wouldn't suggest that the BLs and Q have the same airspace nor would i suggest for him to sell his current driver to spend around 5 bills on a single driver and then around 5+bills for an amp.

What i would suggest him to do is forget all about the Q's and a Sealed box if he is wanting it to "hit harder", if he likes the current BL he has (obvs likes it enough to buy it once) buy another BL and sell the amp to put towards a new amp that would fit his needs. Saves money and give him more output so he can "hit harder" like he said he wants to do.

i have 2 bl's in my trunk..dunno if this helps...but look at building a multi part box outside of the trunk and then fitting and sealing it together inside of the trunk...its kind of a one way thing...but it worked for me...worked great

wtf....what kind of box do you have what are its specs lol.....and is that a real 2500 watts each....or cheap amp 2500 watts lol.....this seems out of line....also is this daily or spl...and do you do music or burps......i fear giving mine a full 3000rms to a pair of bl's....and dont plan on it!!!!!!!
