Best amp for 2 18" SSD's?

Recommended Posts

I ordered 1 18" Fi SSD. I plan on getting another one soon. And was wondering what kind of amp I should get? I went ahead an got the dual 2 ohm voice coils on the amp. I'm looking for something cheap. Possibly well under $200? Currently I have a MA audio 18" 1100 watt amp with a

legacy audio 2000 watt amp and it hits hard but it doesn't have near the quality I'm looking for. With the new SSD I'm looking to run either a 1ohm or 2 ohm config. Not sure yet what to do. Any ideas? I'm also wanting to run the SSD at atleast 650wrms 800 would be perfect.

Wtf? Do you mean on the subs? Well if you got two dual 2 ohm SSDs then you have to wire them to 2 ohm as the lowest ohm load. (well .5 ohms but I won't recommend that for you)

And wtf again on the 2nd bold part. You can't unless you run 1 sub at 1 ohm or both subs at 2 ohms.

Hey man I guess you mean you got the Dual 2 ohm (D2) Fi SSD's if that is the case then you will be able to wire them to either to these options:

Subwoofer Wiring Diagrams, Two 2 ohm Dual Voice Coil (DVC) Speakers

*I would say to wire them to a final ohm load of 2 ohms and get an amp that is 2 ohm stable at the power level you will need. Hope that helps.
