I would take it out once the mold cures if I were you. Thats shit stinks and you might want it out of there asap. Plus it will be easier to work with that way.

I was fiberglassing in my garage with the doors shut cause it was so cold during the construction of my door pods in my truck. Dont do that!!!

Lost my virginity to fiberglass today.

Hopefully it gets easier every time because its a pain

I was riding around in this POS today while truck was curing

seat is duct taped one door wont open its just tie strapped to the seat belt but still kicking

you can see how wavy it is in this pic

gonna spend a good part of tomorrow trying to take that tape i put on the bottom

All for today gonna let that cure *case

and gonna try to take some measurements and cut the wood tomorrow and try to see if i can get all of them in there it is gonna take some imagination but my dad is coming over he always has a different point of view and alot of times it works

K some more noob questions

1.i got the SAE1200d i know i need 1/0 gauge wire iput but what should i orderd for the speark output.

2, Gonna start working with more mdf tomorrow when i am connecting it do i add screws or just glue i now it breaks and cracks and i cant find what other people have done or do

Do you think a 10" grill like this will work

or should i go with

Subs are not going to be exactly flushed mounted but are going to be mounted in 3/4"

For speaker wire 10 or 12 gauge will suffice for your application, I would go with grill number #1 since it gives you more clearance for your sub to move around.

When you bond wood together, use some type of wood glue (I use Titebond II) and either screws or nails (the preference is yours). If you have clamps or can get your hands on some it would help out as well. If you use screws try not to screw 4 - 6 inches from the ends or you will split the wood IIRC.

what if i am trying to do the screw the corners together

bottom - Ya tape was a B**** to get off but got it

where i missed a few spots on the bottom i hit them with some resin and should be good by tomorrow

pics of it in the truck ya i now there is a gap help(dad) already left so had to free hand it

Now trying to decide if i want to make the middle an amp rack or try to mount the amp underneath the seat i dont even know if it will fit under the seat

thats it for a few days i got a few tests and a few projects due this week dam overloaded

pretty sturdy i can stand on it and it holds me it flexs just a little so im thinking 2 more layers and ill be good

Last night cut a hole and started fiberglass ring terminal in

How thick the fiberglass that i cut out 1/4" alright

and another layer on the mdf for the terminal

Hopefully i will get the wood connected to the bottom some time this week.

got to get some more fiberglass only a a little bit left

still got to try to figure something out to make a grill over theses the 10" metal ones i posted before wont fit not enough room

any idea on grill i like the metal bars but they dont make any for 8" :puzzled:

dont have any more pics right now but i tested the cubic feet got around 1.5 before subs alright should be perfect

got to go buy more fiberglass

Heres the grill I was talking about that I got for 7 bucks ea from madisound. The metal is thicker than I thought they would be, And like I said I am reversing the unseen mounting ring for more than enought depth.

got a few orders coming in

ordered a fiberglass roller, resin, and mat from uscomposites

grills and screws from madiosound

started working on big three today will post pics tomorrow

cut my finger nail with the pvc cutters( was using them to strip the wire) OUCH!!!!)

i got bat to chassis

chassis to block

dont have a fuse block to make the run the alternator to pos terminal

got to order wire still but still got more than a week left on box

gonna try to work on mounting the amp tomorrow underthe seat gonna be a tight fit

also need to order some 6.5s

yup no pics again i have been slack but if i dont type down what i did i will forget

I dont know how much room is back there, just throwing it out there. Looks pretty tight under the front seat too, but could be the small pics. As long as there is some airflow you should be alright. Just thought it would be easier to hide the wires in back. Would hate to see someone in the rear kick out your wires.

I run this one and I like the hell out of it. I bought it from the company in the link off ebay.

Went and listened to some speakers today during break i like the sound of the alpines

looking at getting a set of

spr17-s 6.5 components for up front 110w rms

spr-17c coaxils for back 100w rms

would this amp DSC4125

be to much or does anybody else have any ideas

No problem, just feed them a clean signal. Most comps do better with a little more juice. Just make it clean.

You can put a piece of MDF or plywood back there, wrap it, attach it to the back wall. Build up the back where you are going to attach it to the truck and drill you some holes and run the wires through it. Makes it all pretty like. Check out some build logs I am sure you will get some ideas.

the coaxials i was gonna put in back they are about a foot away from subs and at aprox same height

would it even be worth putting them back there i would think they would get canceled out not sure tough

Been a while . Work has been crazy. Can't complain that is what paid 4 all this. Got alpine r 6.5 coaxials in back and 6:5 components front installed all the wires run.
