Under Seat Subwoofer Enclosure

I have a Rockford T500-1db and a Rockford P3SD410 in a ported box .75cft. I am unsure of the sound, I would like it a little tighter and deeper! I had it built buy a great shop around here, but I am looking for more, I don't mind spending some more money to get the sound I want! Maybe I should look into other shallow subs? or do you think two of these 10's sealed would be better? I already have the new Rockford T21652 components front and rear powered buy a T600-4 and a Alpine INAW-900headunit. Any advise would be greatly appreciated! I have read the internet to death trying to find a solution, in the space that I have,which is under the back seat! I am 43 years old I still like it loud but I don't think I am quit into the same sub role off as my two sons are!

Whats the vehicle? What is the tuning frequency of the current box?

2004 Ford F-150 Crew Cab tuned at around 45hz? I had a local shop do the work. I like everything I struggling with the sub sound.

wrong already. if your looking for deep bass you wont find it off a shallow. sub. stays away from those all together. the only time it is recommended to use a shallow is when you have to.......... they often have high fs, no excursion and almost always sound like dootz in a spec box.....

sell that, get a single SA-8. those guys to build you a custom box .6 - 1 cube under the seat ported at 30-33hz. one of many options you have.

The Rockford P3 dose have fs of 45,I also have and haven't installed a RE SL10 that has a fs of 36. I am hurting for space,that's why I have been reading and learning about sealed enclosures ! I thought I went into this pretty informed but I was only about half right at most! Maybe seat lift or fiberglass enclosure? 6" is about all I have under the seat!

My box right know is 32.25 wide 6.25 tall and 14.25 deep there is a 4 by 17 cut out that goes over the hump in the middle of the back seat. The back seat is a 60/40 split and the box fits under the 60% spot. I think the only way I am going to get any were is a seat lift. LMI makes a seat lift that is 2.5 inches, I didn't want to go this route originally but I have spent to much money to start going conservative! I have looked at some other enclosures today including fiberglass and the only good way to get 6+ inches is lift the seat. Am I thinking right? All the enclosures I have looked at are under 6 inches with no room for excursion!

Can you have a sealed box of 1.2 cuft and put two subs in that are .6 sealed subs and put on a box that matches up on air space, but the box is not divided?

I have 2 10's in a sealed box with .75 cubes each under the back seat of my GMC with 200 watts to each of them and it sounds amazing, hits hard, low, and clear. The only thing I want now is more power. Just my $0.02. BTW my 10's are less than 5" tall and not shallow mount.

Thanks for the info! I ordered a seat lift today that will give me 2.5 inches more to work with! I hope that will let me get into the 6+ inches of mounting depth! I will take some measurements and see what I end up with! It is suppose to be here Wednesday!

Well since my last time here I have my seat lift installed and a enclosure built! My enclosure ended up being 2.25cuft with a RF T1 for displacement measures. I would like to use another sub though, the box is tuned to 32hz and I also purchased a RF T1500-1bd for more power. I was thinking along the lines of a FI BL 12, I like the SPL but I would rather focus towards the SQ side. The box is limited to 7" of mounting depth. Do you need any more info? Thanks

If you are truly going for an SQ setup your sub stage should be the least of your worries. I'm going to assume that you just want something that will get decently loud and not sound like crap doing it, if that is what you're looking for I think a Fi BL would suit you nicely and if no check out the Q.
