Theoretically the 2 12's win, but not by all that much. Going to depend on a lot of factors.

1 15"btl with good power is going to be loud.

ok thats all i want is just to be loud because my trunk doesn't have enough air space for two 15's, so i was just gonna get 1 15 and call it a day or get 1 12 for right now and upgrade to another 1 later what do you think about that?

you could do that but...i think you will be more than satisfied with a single BTL....plus the electrical will cost ya

ok cool that makes good sense probaly the 15 over the 12? or vice versa, because i got room for either one of the subs in its correct box voulme

I too was once faced with this decision. I choose the single 15" because it will be most efficient. the one 15" will only need 2000 watts and the two 12"s will use 4000 watts. The two 12s will cost almost double also, plus need double the electric upgrades.

BTW my single 15" BTL moves enough air to crush my windpipe.biggrin.gif

lol lol ok enough said i guess ill go with 1 15" instead of 1 12" all my friends got 12s and they say they hit harder and have more punch to them over the 15s i never had an 15" sub but compared to the 12" the 15" have more cone surface area and more decibles so i guess the 15" wins over the 12" but everybody got there opions i guess!

for real 1 x 15btl in a good box will be loud enough to do dmg to your car if you want it to.

i bet 1 12 btl would be loud enough but if you got the room why not go with the 15 btl .

either way one should be enough.

what electrical upgrades are you doing ?

and what amp are you planning on using .
