The one that fits, your best bet is to go measure your trunk and give us the max dimensions (height x widht x depth) this should help determine what will fit. Make sure to leave room for amps, batteries and air flow around box to get into cabin from trunk.

i had my insatller measure my trunk and he said either would fit it was up to me i understand i gotta leave room for my batt ect... but just want the most bass possible i can get by my beat seat being up due to that it doesn't come down

hey man, make sure your installer knows how to build a correct box... thatll make the difference. make sure he is not just cramping that 18 in.

A 15 with the correct volume will have more output then a 18 in a box that is too small.

Obviously a 18 vs a 15 both in the correct volume and port area the 18 would win.

If you want someone here to help you, you are going to have to provide answers to their questions or there is no point asking the question in the first place.

x2, just cause your installer says it will fit doesnt mean it would fit and sound good. If I wanted to I could squeeze an 18" in my trunk but not worth it, compared to the space still available after the 15" was in there. Like I said the most bass is the box that fits and it is recommended for the driver, not the biggest sub you can fit in your car (you pick subs by enclosure room you have available and not the size of the sub). So go measure and get back to us, if your installer is wrong I would definitely be more worried about the installer then the equipment.

ok he said and would be a 6.5cft double port box after displacements i think, or would a 15 btl in a 5cft box will perform better?

Next questions to answer correctly are:

How much power?

What does "double port" mean? How big are the ports?? Square ports or round ports?

6.5 after displacement you think, or you know? 6.5 NET is great, 6.5 gross is not that great. . .

As already stated, installed correctly the 18 will be louder. But, you still have not provided enough info to determine if the 18 will be installed correctly. . .

that makes perfect sense you know how many herts i should get the box tuned to so it can hit the lows and the highs?

32hz around.. depends on you tho, you can go 28 or 36. do you want it to hit very low or hit hard?

hey man, imo a single port box will be better than a double slot....

after reading those calculations go with a 15, so you will have room for bats, amps, and air flow.... :captain:
