Recommended Posts

i am going to be facing my sub down in my truck to make everything kinda hidden.

curious if having the sub facing down will have a really different effect then the sub facing up or facing towards the front?

anyone have experience with this?? thanks!

It's dependent on a lot of factors, you'll never know till you test.

Leave a lot of clearance underneath it.

Yeah, leave as much clearance as you can under the sub. Obviously you'll need to leave at least as much as xmax, but an extra inch or two or three is better. Otherwise no real problem.

I've always used a minimum of half the dia. of the speaker for clearance. Could probably do less if needed though. I did sub down port donw in our work van to keep the protected from damage. It sounded good with it firing down. It was a large Sprinter van though so it's not your average vehicle.
