I've been kinda busy myself and not on here near as much as I would like. Tis tax season and working at the post office means a little overtime :drink40: I've got the 8's in and causing new issues to deal with (in a good way) with my truck. It looks like more deadener and a need for a better seal in the back window is necessary :drink40: I'm hoping to get together with chop here sometime soon and shoot the shit to catch up.

sorry i have been on the mia list, here is a small update.......

steve bought the first two sheets of 3/4" mdf for my birthday gift.....

every thing is double baffle and attacthted to the truck.

the bottom is a 2 x 4 base, the lower rear has additional 2 x 4 bracing that tapers to a 3/4" piece of birch that is the width of the box and 8" high.

everthing is joined together with tight bond 3 wood glue. all seems are caulked with silicon. 1 5/8" coarse thread drywall screws helped squeeze a couple of the layers together.

the 2 x 4's are bolted through the body on the bottom and glued with liduid nails.

the rear is attacthed via self tapers in the exsisting hat channels of the truck, as well as glued to the surface.

the corners are glued, clamped, and compressed, very few scews are in this build. only four are used on the front 90.

1-71.jpg

you can see in this pic that i interlocked all of my 90's so there would be no room for air leaks

also the back layer of birch is visible as well.

this one shows my 45's installed

first baffle for the top...

1-74.jpg

i swear i had better pics, not enough time in the day, sorry about the rush through on the build log.

there is a pic of the vertical bracing , two 2 x 4's in the center....

1-75.jpg

i will be out all day working on the build, gathering the last sheet of mdf and attempting to o some mch needed networking for IAK.

talk to you soon fellas

bigrank and thehawk, your cash is in my pocket, i will hit the post office today....

holla
