Enclosure Odd

Recommended Posts

I usually am used to seeing boxes with the shape of a port like a L, but the box was to be tuned to 32 hz and is missing the piece of wood that is found behind the cutout usually... what is wrong here?

Are you saying it is suppose to be like L but is like l ? or is it like _ and is suppose to be like this L?

:peepwall: we need pictures to fully grasp what you are saying.

Nothing out of the ordinary other than it's in the design and desired tuning frequency.

The port doesn't have to be an L shape. It can be an " I " if that is all the length needed to get the tune you need.

The box isn't really big enough for the lack of a L and just being l shaped port, due to the box being so small

I don't think your understanding, if the vent is long enough to achieve tuning without having a bend it will be straight. The ONLY time there is a bend in a vent is when there isn't enough room available to achieve tuning.

Instead of wasting time using letters to describe the shape you think the port should be, how about you tell us the actual dimensions of your enclosure and the dimension of the port? That way we can calculate the actual enclosure volume and tuning of your enclosure.

Seems a little more productive, don't you think?
