Looking for a good front stage

Recommended Posts

I've been looking for a good setup, but very confused about what I'm looking for. After reading a lot of forums I found that a lot of people are suggesting the tangbands and fountek's. I looked at some website and found these speakers. Wanted to know if this would be a good setup or not....

Tang Band W6-1721

Tang Band W5-704D

Tang Band 25-1166SJ

Each door will have 1 W6-1721, 2 W5-704D, and 1 25-1166SJ. Any feedback would be great.

Good setup for what???

Normally this wouldn't be enough information to say, but running two midranges is definitely a bad idea. I also don't like that tweeter.

So no. Bad idea.

Give us some background so we can actually help though.

This setup will be for my daily driver, possibly my wife's daily driver. My daily driver is an '07 Malibu and my wife's is an '02 S10 Single Cab.

I haven't found any kicks for the malibu, but I do know that they make them for the S10.

I would like to keep the speakers in the stock locations, but might be willing to make customs door panels.

Both vehicles have a 6 1/2 stock speaker hole in the front doors. I do like sound quality, but I really like it turned up!!!

Let me know if there's anything else that might be useful.

Tons of things. Processing for starters. WHICH car they will ACTUALLY go in. Listening preferences and the WHOLE other list of items in the noob posting guidelines. (copy in my sig)

You're probably not going to want to purchase prefab kick panels either. You'll want to glass them.
