Battery Wiring

Recommended Posts

Im looking to run a extra battery (XS Power D3100) to the back of my truck. Then run a Autotek 4000.1 from it. Should i run 2 1/0 cables from the starter battery to D3100 battery or will 1 be enough to fully support everything.

yeah if you want to you can have a + and - line, and make sure to ground the battery to the chassis.... but if you don't have enough 1/0 for 2 runs then only do a positive and then negitive to ground

It depends on the wire;s amperage capacity, depends on what that Autotek will pull but I would do 2 positive runs of 1/0 power wire if you can.
