You guys pick.

Memphis amp or Viper amp.

Viper claims to put out more power, the memphis is rated at 1100 but birth sheets that I have seen prove that it can put out 1200-1300 watts.

I kinda thought it would look cool to have matching memphis amps.

Just want to get more thoughts.

Nobody does class D like Directed, and the 2002 Viper amplifier lineup makes that clear. The tiny d300.1 delivers more bass power than conventional amps twice its size, the d600.1 and d1200.1 can be strapped together to double their individual power, and the d2500.1 has enough power to run most major appliances, coming in at a true 2.5KW. And if that

I like the top-mounted controls on the Viper, but I think matching Memphis amps would look nice. Solid amps, and look simple if you're after that type of install :)

Yeah, but I will be going active through the 8053 and a sealed box so settings isnt a prob.

I put a WTB thread in over at CA.com

offered cash

Viper+cash

Orion+cash

Or even trade with Orion and Viper

Hopefully someone will bite...

Memphis

Not like you will need to adjust anything on the amp(s) if you are going active.

Thats what the H/U does :D

Orion 1200D?

Id love to but, kinda wanted a matching install.

I am currently the high bidder on the memphis I want and I have already sold both the orion and viper. Just waiting on the MO.

Doug and I made a few cuts on an spl box for any up coming comp but I have decided to save the MDF for the amp rack or "false wall" for lack of a better term. I will be buying another sheet for the bottom, sides, and front and back of the console. I will only be glassing the top. Final cover will be of vinal and carpet. I talked to the place Doug recomended but was refered to a local place in my area. I go for color and material matching on Thursday.

:woot:

hey what do you guys with experience with the viper 1200.1 think of them? I found a local guy who claims he has a new (not refurbished) one that has never seen power for about $200. I am highly contemplating picking it up.

I sold mine for $160

OK got a question about the amp. I found the manufacture specs and the THD @1ohm is 1.5% That seems pretty high, even for a class D amp. I know that <2$ is inauditable, so they say, but that is kinda a deal breaker to me :(

do you think your going to be running it loud enough to pick up the minimal distortion?

Just curious... where did you see a birth sheet for the memphis 1100d? the memphis rep I know told me they usually put out about 1300... then again I was told the viper puts out 1200-1300 too. I like my viper, but the new memphis amps are damn sexy and so small.
