Need amp fixed.

Recommended Posts

My Brutus has a ground plane problem, and I can't fix it with the equipment I have (read:none). Where do you guys recommend? I am very picky about who works on my equipment, and am leary of the shops around here.

KBAudio was the first place I was going to suggest.

Don't know if Dave Edwards does amp repairs or not.

Maybe one of the guys on Team Maxxsonics could help you there.

My 1500 died also, a few weeks ago though. If you find the schematics for the amp, send a copy this way (if they are free that is).

Mine will turn on but has no output. I took the bottom off, found a fried resistor, transistor, and melted/lifted pcb trace (lifted off the board).

kbaudio quoted me $100 plus shipping to repair it. That was 2 or 3 weeks ago. Haven't had the money to send it thanks to other bills. I figured aprox $120 to fix and ship would be worth it.
