I got a saz-2000d pushing a dd9515g at 1ohm. I was wondering if a kinetik 1400 upfront and a kinetik 2000 in the rear would be enough to help run the system. Big 3 has been done with 1/0, I have 1 run 1/0 front to back, grounds done with 1/0 and a stock alt 90amps. Any recommendations will be taken in consideration.

most definitatly one of those batteries in the rear for starters lol!

I would say put 2 (if you cna fit it) batteries in the back 2-1400 or 2000. but an extra battery in the back to help and a VOLT meter woudl be ideal!

so to start if you are on a budget buy 1 2000 and put it in the rear and buy a volt meter so you can monitor the voltage of the rear battery to see what your amp is getting,...if the voltage stays above 12.5-12.8 you don't need the 1400 in front.

this will ALSO depend on your listening habbits!!!

What did the Kinetik Calculator on there site say you would need for your audio setup? I dont see why those two batteries wouldnt suffice in your application, the best thing to do is install them with your system and a volt meter. Then watch your voltage, if you have voltage drop then it isnt enough and if you dont have voltage drop your good. Will there be any more amps in the system?

Crazy-

I have both batteries already. Just don't have a voltmeter. One of my concerns was is the factory alternator could keep up and charge both batts...In the long run I will buy a higher output alt. Done what size to get though.

When I listen to music daily the bass is minimal to none. I only crank up the bass for comps.

Jaycee-

Kinetik calc says I'm good on wattage with the batts I have. The charging of the batts is gonna be an issue. Will the factory alt keep up. I do have a battery charger and recondition batts so often.

I will only be running 1 sub amp and 1 4channel in my system.

Your first step would be to install both batteries and get a voltmeter asap to watch your voltage, this will be the only way to tell if more power is needed in you setup to keep the voltage where it needs to be. I dont see why what you have is not enough, I think you should be fine especially with the way you say your listening habits are. If you are that much concerned about your factory alt having a charging probelm, invest in a battery charger and charge your battery from time to time (this will be way cheaper then a HO Alternator if you dont need it). Hope this helps.

hey man i had a 120amp alt (stock) supporting my SAZ2000 with 2-batcap 2000's back in the day! and the volt held like none other!

the only reason i NOW have a h/o is b/c my stock one was 6-7years old and showing wear and tear so i jsut siad screw it h/o here we go! ;) (jsut like that)

so don't bash you 90amp alt b/c my 120 did PEREFCT even being as OLD as it was the key of course is to GET a voltmeter they arne't expensive and are very easy to hook up!
