3 db per sub gain rule???

Recommended Posts

okay, that part I get, but does it have to be the SAME sub? make/model?

I'm thinking of mixing RE SE 12 and JL 12w6v1's of all things. Each pair would be in their own ported enclosure, separate chamber, common box thing.

Asking for trouble?

And turn it up as loud as they possibly can!

You will get laughed at, its not worth the embarasement.

Dont mix subs, dont mix sub sizes.

Some retard was trying to sell my bro an enclosure for our burban ( its gone now). It was for 2 10's and 1 15...WTF !

Not to mention this kid who had 2 T1 10" subs with 1 T2 12" sub in a sealed enclosure. With more power going to the 12.......

yow!

I'm just asking 'cause at a show Saturday, I got beat by a guy that had 2-15's in 1 box in the rear cargo area and 2-12's in the back seat...I thought a good cancellation lesson was about to be learned, instead I got pwned by a 'throw it all in the truck' system. Plus I could pick up these JL 12w6v1's for $100 ea asking. I was gonna make the properly tuned - matching the RE box I've built - and see what happens, but REALLY was doubting it.

wtf, is that even a class ?

NO. It's an independent group running around www.roundupproductions.net they have CASH prizes, so it brings out ALL TYPES!! I'll take pics next time to show-n-tell!

They use some meter called a terrason or something like that?? anyone heard of it? I ran 146.7 on it, then did 142.0 on a TL the next day.

Weird....

So my dual 12's, single 10, dual 6.5 enclosure would be competition material ?

:lol2: There, that day, YES. Anything goes kinda deal. It was sponsored by a new pawnshop/stereo store. $100 guaranteed first, $50 second, the rest of the pot is split by number of contestants. The more people in the class, the further down cash goes. In larger shows, 8th place still gets their money back.

TWO CLASSES for this show only....0-1000w and 1001- up ...I fell into 1001 and up since my amps weren't listed in their amp book. (i forgot my manual) There was some CRAP there, no pro-stock, etc. so plenty of guys from other stores around Longview showed up.

Jntar and I saw a guy shut his door DURING HIS RUN and tried to claim it as his hightest run.

Crazy crap, but fun, local, and CASH.
