anyone ever had experience with hifonics? i've heard a lot of trash talking and underrating, but still even if it's underrated, it would be only pushing around 1000 or so... that's still a good deal for only 180$

but if these amps just absolutely suck, is there any amp someone could suggest in the 250$ range that would produce about 1000 watts rms? thanks a lot

i run the hifonics nemesis nx750 on my rl-p and love it. no issues what so ever.

yeah, the brutus line does seem to be underrated, but they are still decent amps for the money.

but hold on tight, lol, because i'm sure ur about to get a few options as well...

yea, i'm not in a huge rush, but i'd like to have a solid amp that doesnt crap out on me after a few months. even if the brutus is overrated, i've heard a lot of bad comments as well as good so i'm kinda in the middle on whether getting it or not. even a solid 900 watt amp would be sweet, i'm just kinda looking for an amp around that power range that's bridgable down to one ohm.

what about an orion xtr pro? they're rated at 1000 watts at 1 ohm. I could get a refurb. for $250 w/ a 90 day full repair warranty.. snach it while I can or not a great amp... i'm not all that hip yet on subs and amps mainly because i live practically in the middle of nowear (southern louisiana haha) and there arent too many bass enthusiasts, but any help in setting up a great system would be appreciated.

....or a memphis power reference rated at 1000 watt rms @ 1 ohm  so many amps, yet just so confused!!

ooh, and by the way, i was really looking forward to running the rl-ps, but for less space usage, wattage usage, and $$$, i've decided to go with 3 power reference 12's from memphis in a ported box... i've got everything sitting in my room, now i just need to rerun bigger wires in my truck and buy the amp and i'll be the loudest on the road within 100 miles lol! just throwing out the choices i've got to work with hoping someone can put me in the right direction. thanks!

the pr series amps are nice. put out their rated power and give u the memphis quality. on thing about the pr series amps, the tend to use a bit more current to make their power compared to their m class brethren. not a big issue if ur electrical system and connections are solid, but just a heads up.

the orion would be agood choice, if you don't mind refurbs.

and i've had my hifonics for well over a year, not a single issue.

Ok. yea i've heard great things about the other lines of hifonice, but the brutus series tend to get a lot of negative feedback, which is why i was looking at getting a better rated amp.

the memphis amp would be used, which is why i'll probably go with the orion, mainly just because it's got a 3 month warranty and there doesnt seem to be many great amps stable at one ohm in the 200-300 price range for the power I need.

my BX1205D is giving good power, and its quite clean (considering its source) and i have yet to have any problems.

The new "superclass D's" are sapposed to be doing rated power at 14.4v ;)

asumeing the BX1205D has a high dampening factor ( cant remember) i would call this true :D

I had a BX1000d and have my friends BX1800d in my car now, they are a bit over rated (mine did around 850rms, his does around 1500), but considering the price and the overall quality it can't be beat. Runs pretty cool @ 1 ohm, mine on 2ohms barely got warm. Puts out good power @ 2ohms mine did, was driving a 15" Resonant SE, hitting low 140s @ 35hz in a caravan. Overall I never had any problems with them. Most people who complain about them aren't giving them enough power I say. It is a pretty clean and descent sounding amp, esp. considering the price. Go for it! Other than a Lanzar Opti1400 or Opti2000 you won't find a better deal in real RMS to price ratio.
