Which Speakers ??

Recommended Posts

Helllllllllloooooo !!!!!!!!!!!!

I am very happy to announce that i am going to In Car Entertainment (ICE) up my car for the first time

So i need some suggestions.

I have a budget of 530 us dollars for rear fills + front components.

Type of Music i listen to :- Psychedelic trance, Rap, RnB, Hip-Hop, Rock, Jazz, Club and Indian.

I am not looking for analytical sound but toe-tapping without loosing on details, instrument separation, bass extension etc.

Thanks

If you don't want to lose detail then you need to scrap the rears, but conveniently that raises your budget for the fronts :)

yes sure, i will be powering them with an 4 channel amp or a 2 channel one if i go for just fronts. i haven't decided anything yet.

Do you want active or passive? 2 channel if passive, 4 or 6 channel if active.

Huh? How do you plan on doing both? (Best soundstage will be active IF you can get it tuned in right)

Pick one or the other, read up on both and choose which one you want. Active will take more work and you probably wont get it right the first time but if you have a lot of time on your hands and patience to get it right then active is the way to go.

Thanks

Wanting 4 speakers means two sets components. Components in the rear will sound like utter shit as well as be pointless.

That statement is an oxymoron. If you want good SQ then you do NOT want rears.

Oh ok !!! But i was talkin about passengers soundstage ! If compo's won't help impress the passengers then what do you suggest for front and for rear as well ?

Thanks

Who cares what it sounds like in the back? Do you ride in the back of your car often?

The STAGE and SQ will sound better in the back seat with nothing there. Rears make it worse. If you are worried that it is close to your sub, then you need to turn your sub down to blend otherwise you really aren't into SQ>

Okay then i can spend like 300-400$ for components.

I want SQ with SPL but i am ready to forget the rears.
